When one door closes, another door opens... Now that Below Deck Mediterranean's seventh season has ended, a new series in the franchise has premiered: Below Deck Adventure. With a new series to binge, Below Dec Med. fans can forget about one of the worst seasons that's been a part of the fandom.

On Reddit, it's a popular opinion to enjoy the Below Deck Med. series because of the familiar faces and locations shown. However, season 7 was a miss for viewers. From casting to personality differences, Bravo viewers were not pleased with this season and had some famous and unpopular views on Reddit.

Natasha Wasn't That Bad Of A Chief Stew...

Natasha Webb was the chief stew for season 7. As the leader of the interior, Natasha's job was to make sure the guests' cabins were taken care of, they had everything they needed, and essentially deliver them food and drinks throughout the day. But after the first couple of episodes, it became clear to fans that she was not one of the best chief stews on Below Deck.

Natasha avoided conflict, wasn't timely, ordered too many provisions, and showed no managing experience. The popular opinion on Reddit was that she was one of the worst chief stews shown. However, DolphinLandon told Reddit that "Tash [didn't] deserve the hate." The Redditor reiterated that Sandy was fond of Natasha's job and no disasters occurred on her watch. But that doesn't negate her lack of leadership throughout the season.

Courtney Deserved The Position Over Mzi

In season 6, Courtney Veale was a stewardess with a "work hard, play hard" mentality. So when she came back in season 7, fans were surprised when she transitioned from stew to deckhand.

Courtney had a long way to become one of Below Deck's best deckhands, but she was strong and capable of the position. However, when Storm had to promote Courtney or Mzi, viewers were stunned when he chose Courtney over Mzi, simply based on experience. The popular opinion was that Mzi was deserving of the opportunity, but Courtney got it instead. Bertfotwenty wrote "Mzi is not a leader. Courtney is a natural leader." On the contrary, Mzi knew far more about being a "decky" than Courtney did.

Some Viewers Feel Season 7 Doesn't Need A Reunion

At the end of every Bravo reality series, there's typically a reunion to follow. Bravo's had some of the best reality show reunions over the years. It's at the reunion that Andy Cohen revisits the season, stirs the pot, brings up old wounds, and finds out where the cast is at today.

Even though season 7 was a dud, fans still want a reunion. On Reddit, however, Buddy88Bull didn't think the season needed one. "I’ve heard nothing about a reunion but at this point, does it really matter?" they asked. Since viewers put in so much time with this season, a reunion to close the chapter would be appreciated.

Captain Sandy Earned Some New Fans This Season

There was a lot about Captain Sandy that fans didn't know at the start of Below Deck Med., but now that she's been on the series for six seasons, she's practically the face of the franchise.

Sadly, love for Sandy has drifted over the years. From her micromanaging ways to picking favorites, Sandy's had a fall from grace. ThatsWhatSheSaid53, however, enjoyed Sandy this season, writing, "Might be an unpopular opinion but I'm enjoying Capt. Sandy this season." This was seen as unpopular and many fans were quick to point out that she was barely involved in this season, which was why she got a good edit.

Fans Loved Natalya's Energy (But Not Everyone Wants Her Back)

The biggest problem area in season 7 was the interior. While the deckhands found their stride, Kyle, Natalya, and Natasha had ongoing problems. Between Kyle's dramatics and Natasha's love triangle, Natalya was viewed as the hardest worker. Her delivery during arguments was problematic, but fans wouldn't mind seeing her in another season.

Fomo216, however, doesn't care to see Natalya on their screens again. "No. Towards the end I found [Natalya] just as bad at Kyle and Tash. Whining, annoying, and seems to be just as toxic in relationships as those two also."

Courtney Wasn't Likable In This Season

Courtney showed up on the yacht after Raygan was fired and Storm was promoted to bosun. After seeing her fun relationship with Mzi in season 6, most fans were excited about her addition in season 7. In fact, viewers wouldn't mind a reality TV show like Below Deck that just focused on Courtney and Mzi's travels.

On the flip side of opinions, Uborkafarok didn't find Courtney likable this season. "Why is Courtney so much less likable this season? Is it just a difference in edit? I truly can't put my finger on it." Some chalked it up to the chemistry of the boat — that it's not Courtney that's "unlikable," it's that the cast didn't connect.

Some Viewers Still Have Love For Kyle

Kyle wasn't a bad person or a bad worker. However, he allowed his theatrics to get the best of him, which made fans change their views. What made him unpopular was the way he spoke to Natalya during arguments, his open flirtation and unprofessionalism with the one charter guest Frank, and his inappropriate dance moves with Natasha.

Knowing the popular opinion is that Kyle wasn't the best casting choice, Live-Laugh-Love-Lex stirred the pot by saying "We [love] Kyle," while sharing a few clips of him. Many viewers came forward to discuss what an unpopular opinion it was and stated reasons why they didn't love him.

Maybe Sandy Isn't As Good A Captain As She Thinks

Captain Sandy is an unbelievable captain and is one of the more likable captains on Below Deck. But over the years, she got too involved with the crew's drama and micromanaged those she specifically hired to be leaders.

In the past, she has boasted about her amazing yachting record, and it's a popular opinion to agree with her status in yachting. But Trap1968 felt like Sandy wasn't as good as she claimed. They shared that Sandy "didn't even recognize" when the yacht was about to hit the dolphin and didn't make the right decisions in terms of hiring a team. In the Redditor's words, the mistakes she made in season 7 were a "travesty."
