Campaign 3 of the hit D&D actual play series Critical Role has seen its central party of heroes, Bell's Hells, embark on perilous quests the evils in the world of Exandria. Part of what makes the campaign so successful is the wonderful dynamic that the player characters have among one another.

Each member of Bell's Hells each their own unique personality and character traits, and while all of them are highly entertaining thanks to the acting, improvising and roleplaying talents of the show's cast, certain characters among them have more likable personalities than others.

10 Dusk/Yu Suffiad

Dusk, aka Yu Suffiad, is a changeling, which means that the only personality that is seen is what the assassin wants people to see. Unfortunately, that doesn't help to make friends. The personality of Yu is always changing depending on whatever form the changeling decides to take to perform the jobs taken.

With that in mind, it's really hard to determine which personality is Yu's true one. This makes the character extremely hard to get close to, as Yu's attempts to make friends may simply just be to get close enough to the target in order to get the kill before moving on to the next job.

9 Ashton Greymoore

Ashton is a skilled fighter who loves getting involved in some of Critical Role's best fights, but that doesn't change the fact that they're a bit of a grump. Ashton is self-described as cranky and unpleasant, and even their friend Fresh Cut Grass has had to admit that's true.

Being cranky and unpleasant certainly makes a character hard to get close to. Ashton has shown a little bit of a softer side, and admitting that their personality is as bad as people say does give them some points for self-awareness. But there's just no denying that a grumpy warrior like them is just not as easy to become friends with.

8 Chetney Pock O'Pea

Named loosely after a character in one of the best Critical Role one-shots, Chetney is the newest member of Bell's Hells main group and certainly has one of the most out-there personalities, albeit one that could cause others to distance themselves from him.

Chetney is described as foul-mouthed and selfish, wanting to keep money that he has found for himself. However, despite these negatives traits, he is also honorable when it comes to contracts and brave when it comes to risky situations. Chetney may seem unpleasant at first, and his personality might take some getting used to, but overall, he is a loyal warrior always ready to plunge headfirst into a fight.

7 Fearne Calloway

Fearne is a character that is both seemingly innocent and completely ready to tear apart the best villains in the series, making her both a great friend and a dangerous ally.

However, Fearne has been shown to be erratic and self-possessive. She is very direct with her thinking and words, and her thieving ways also show that she's willing to steal from others no matter the consequences. Despite this, she is brave and willing to protect those she considers friends, even though she herself is really hard to get close to overall.

6 Sir Bertrand Bell

When viewers were first introduced to Sir Bertrand Bell in The Search for Grog, they met a heavily boastful man that clearly didn't know what he was talking about, a trend that continued into Campaign 3.

Often described as having a "bombastic attitude," and often embellishes the truth of his exploits to make himself seem more competent than he actually is. As he aged, he also became more forgetful. However, while his boasting may get on people's nerves at times, he is still otherwise a likable and friendly man, making his death early in the campaign even more tragic.

5 Dorian Storm

Dorian made a big impact on everyone during his short stay with Bell's Hells, mostly due to his charismatic personality, which certainly helps him make friends.

Although Dorian is very charismatic, he has been shown at times to be uncomfortable talking about his mysterious past. This shows a bit of hesitation to let people get close to him and what he's been through over the years. However, his charismatic attitude and charm works well to help him make friends that can depend on him no matter what.

4 Orym

Orym could easily be considered one of the best player characters in Critical Role, especially given how easy it is for people to like him. Orym is a very moral character, refusing to mess people up and ruin their lives. He is calm, level-headed, and often helps keep his friends out of trouble with their antics.

While he prefers to remain serious about matters at hand, this doesn't make him dislikable. Many times a party of adventurers needs someone serious and level-headed to make sure that the group doesn't accidentally head straight into danger, and that's exactly what Orym does for Bell's Hells.

3 Fresh Cut Grass

Fresh Cut Grass, the plucky automaton healer for Bell's Hells, may look strange to most people, but is actually one of the kindest beings anyone could meet.

FCG is kind, polite, and helpful, making the automaton one of the easiest people to get to know and befriend. While the robot may not be as familiar with human concepts, FCG is always willing to help out others, even when they want to do things that aren't generally thought of as good things. Without a doubt, FCG is someone to be friends with and can easily stay friends with.

2 Imogen Temult

Imogen is not only one of the most powerful members on Bell's Hells, but is also one of the kindest and easiest to like. Imogen has been described as having a small-town girl vibe. As such, she reserved and is usually nervous around crowds, but is otherwise kind and soft-spoken.

However, she will advocate for herself if she feels as though things are becoming unfair for her. A friend like her who is kind and loyal, yet willing to speak her mind if she needs to, is easily a great one to have.

1 Laudna

Even though she looks monstrous upon first glance, Laudna's personality is the exact opposite from how she appears. She may be terrifying to behold, but Laudna is bright, bubbly and easy-going.

Her bright personality stems from the fact that the worst thing that could happen to her (her death) has already happened, meaning things can't really get any worse for her. While she is a little gullible, she is also really hopeful, making her easy to get along with despite her appearance — and the fact that her warlock patron is Delilah Briarwood, one of the biggest villains ever in Critical Role's history.
