Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet feature several new Pokémon that will make players fall instantly in love. Although every type is well represented in the Paldea region, Electric has some particularly impressive additions. It makes sense, considering Electric has long been one of the franchise's most significant types — the mascot is an Electric Pokémon, after all.
Fans of the sparkling type will surely be happy because Scarlet and Violet delivere on the Electric department. These new Pokémon are visually striking and powerful in battle, making them excellent additions to the franchise's already impressive Electric-type roster.
Tadbulb
Baby Pokémon are always cute but harmless. They can work in battle as long as their Trainers understand their abilities and don't try to make them bite more than they can chew. Although not a Baby Pokémon per se, Tadbulb sure looks like and has the stats of one.
Tadbulb has the best kind of Pokémon name: simple yet memorable. Its design is understated to the point of boredom, and its battle capabilities are unimpressive. Players who catch it will want to evolve it as soon as possible. Luckily for them, they can do it as soon as they get their hands on a Thunder Stone.
Wattrel
Regional birds are a crucial part of every Pokémon generation. Although easily accessible, they can evolve to become considerable powerhouses, to the point where some of the strongest Trainers in each Pokémon generation have these birds on their team.
As such, the most important part of a regional bird's first stage is how promising its evolution will be. Wattrel has an excellent final evolution. Oaired with its incredibly convenient Electric/Flying-type, Wattrel becomes a must-have in most Trainers' teams during their travels throughout Paldea.
Pawmi

The regional rodent is a staple of every Pokémon generation. They might not be the strongest or most battle-hardened Pokémon, but they can be helpful allies during the early portions of any game. Pawmi pulls double duty as both Paldea's regional rodent and Pikachu clone, making it extra important in Gen IX.
Pawmi is cute and memorable, the two most important qualities a first-stage Pokémon must have. As a pure Electric-type, Pawmi is only weak to Ground, meaning players traveling throughout Paldea will find it extra useful in battle. Pawmi might not be the most iconic regional rodent — it's no Bidoof — but it's certainly a cute addition to the bunch.
Pawmot
Pawmi's final evolution, Pawmot, would be an incredible addition to any Trainer's team. It acquires the secondary Fighting-type, which gives it an edge over other single-type Electric Pokémon. Its stats are pretty hit-or-miss. It has excellent Physical Attack and Speed, but they come at the expense of every other stat.
Design-wise, Pawmot is pretty bad. It looks like an elongated version of Pawmi without any spark or creativity to its design. Its only striking design choice is its Karen-like haircut, which is far from a win. Pawmot could've been a much better Pokémon, but it is far from terrible as it is.
Bellibolt
Tadbulb's evolution, Bellibolt, is a cute blob. One of the franchise's many frog Pokémon, Bellibolt has a derpy face that makes it absurdly endearing. Its color scheme is also inspired, moving away from the Electric-type's usual yellows in favor of a vivid green palette.
Bellibolt is also a tank, thanks to its high HP stat. Its equally-impressive Special Attack will make it an unexpected threat in battle, although its incredibly disappointing Speed might complicate matters. Still, Bellibolt is among Paldea's most unique-looking creatures and one of the best-designed Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet.
Kilowattrel
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet give fans their first Electric regional bird with the incredible Kilowattrel. It's one of the fastest Pokémon in Paldea, with an unbelievable 125 Speed stat. Its Electric-type will also benefit from its high 105 Special Attack. The Speed/Special Attack combo will make Kilowattrel a favorite in battle and potentially in the competitive scene.
Design-wise, Kilowattrel is not particularly impressive, but it doesn't need to be. Its ideal type combo and impressive stats already make it memorable enough, making Kilowattrel one of the best Electric-types in Generation IX.

Regional forms are one of Pokémon's best gimmicks. Alas, the Paradox forms in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are not regional variants per se but separate Pokémon inspired by previous and classic creatures.
Sandy Shocks seems to be an ancient relative of the classic Gen I Pokémon Magneton and is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet. Like other Paradox forms, Sandy Shocks has incredibly high stats, with a total of 570 that heavily favors Special Attack and Speed. Unlike its Gen I counterpart, Sandy Shock is not Electric/Steel but Electric/Ground, an equally interesting but trickier type combination that makes it all the more intriguing.
Iron Thorns
Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon are already powerful enough, but Game Freak keeps giving them new gimmicks. The Johto Pseudo, Tyranitar, already has a Mega Evolution, but Gen IX also gives it a Paradox Form, the Rock/Electric-type Iron Thorns.
The type combination sounds great on paper but results in a four times weakness to Ground, making it far less ideal. Iron Thorns is also weaker than normal Tyranitar, with a stat total of 570 that favors Physical Attack and Defense. However, Iron Thorns has an incredible design. If Tyranitar is Godzilla, Iron Thorns is Mecha Godzilla, and who doesn't want that?

Hariyama is a famous Pokémon in the Hoenn region but received surprisingly little attention in subsequent generations. Fortunately, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet shine some much-deserved light on this overlooked Fighting-type, giving it a Paradox form exclusive to Pokémon Violet.
A dual Fighting/Electric-type, Iron Hands has an incredible design that makes it look straight out of a trippy sci-fi film. Like other Paradox forms, it has a 570 Stat Total, with HP and both Physical attributes as the stars. Iron Hands is the embodiment of a tank, and competitive players will surely make the most out of its stats.
Miraidon
As the box art Legendary of Pokémon Violet, Miraidon is already one of Generation IX's most iconic Pokémon. It has an incredible design that makes it unique even among the franchise's Legendaries and a color scheme that instantly pops out.
As a Legendary Pokémon, Miraidon has a stat total of 670, making it one of the two strongest Pokémon in Paldea. Its dual Electric/Dragon-type greatly benefits from its strong Special Attack, and its massive 135 Speed will help it decimate entire teams before their foes even get the chance to react.
