New Pokémon tins were released on Oct. 14 featuring Giratina V, Rotom V, and Gallade V. These tins also contain five Lost Origin booster packs for a chance for fans to add some more exciting cards to their collections.

Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield — Evolving Skies was released Aug. 27, 2021. This expansion focused on bringing new dragon cards and fantastic new Eevee evolution cards that fans have dedicated themselves to getting their hands on. With the combination of dragons and Eevee, the name Evolving Skies fits perfectly.

Noivern V (Alternate Full Art)

This bone-chilling art features Noivern V leaping down in a city in an almost realistic designed card. Noivern is a dragon-type Pokémon that utilizes psychic and dark-type energy cards. Its first attack does 20 damage to all the opponent's Pokémon and requires only one psychic energy.

The second attack, Synchro Loud, needs one psychic energy and one dark energy to be used. The damage it does normally is 60, but if both players have the same amount of cards in their hands then Noivern deals 120 damage.

Golurk (Alternate Full Art)

This card features a Golurk at work in this full artwork. Golurk isn't one of the most famed ghost-type Pokémon, and it can be easy to remember he is in fact one, however, many fans loved this card. This Golurk is as strong as it looks and possesses two attacks.

Its first attack, Mega Punch, deals 80 damage. The second attack, called Rewind Beam, gives a grand total of 180 damage. This attack isn't just strong either as it devolves the Pokémon it hits (if that it is an evolved Pokémon) by one stage.

Rayquaza V (Alternate Full Art)

This amazing card of one of the best dragon-type Pokémon, Rayquaza, technically isn't a trainer gallery card, though it does have Zinnia on the cover art (since she never owns Rayquaza herself, that's probably why it isn't a trainer gallery card). This legendary dragon possesses two attacks with the first requiring one electric-type energy that deals 40 damage and forces the player to discard the top two cards of their own deck.

The second attack can be seen as amazing depending on the player's strategy. It requires one electric-type and one fire-type energy to use and deals 20 damage. However, players can discard up to two electric-type or fire-type energy cards from the Pokémon increasing the damage to a total of 180.

Dragonite V (Alternate Full Art)

Dragonite has been and always will be one of the most popular dragon-type Pokémon. So it's no little surprise that it gets a fantastic card such as this. This yawning Pokémon has two different attacks with the first, Shred, dealing 50 damage.

Its second attack requires two water-type energies and one electric-type and deals 250 damage. While this is an insane amount of damage to deal, it does also hurt the player's own Pokémon by 20 (though not Dragonite). Though if the player is willing to risk not putting any Pokémon on their bench, they can use Dragonite's attack without any risk.

Umbreon V (Alternate Full Art)

This menacing art of one of Eevee's best evolutions, Umbreon, has the dark-type Pokémon looking down on other Pokémon at night. Its first attack perfectly fits the artwork and is Mean Look which deals 30 damage and keeps the opponent's Pokémon from retreating on their next turn.

The second attack is also befitting for the artwork of the card and is called Moonlight Blade. Moonlight Blade deals 80 damage normally but gives an additional 80 damage as long as there is at least one damage counter on it.

Glaceon VMAX (Alternate Art Secret)

This is a fun-filled card of Glaceon, one of the best blue Pokémon, freezing a pond below it as other Pokémon play. Glaceon has a powerful ability that prevents the opponent from damaging Glaceon with any of their own VMAX Pokémon, however, if the player happens to have their own Glaceon VMAX this ability is negated.

Glaceon also has one attack that deals 150 damage, as well as 30 damage to one of the player's own benched Pokémon. From a battle perspective, this card isn't quite as good as the other alternate art secret Eevee evolution VMAX cards, but its ability does help to make up for its double-edged attack.

Sylveon VMAX (Alternate Art Secret)

The alternate art secret cards are ones that every fan should obtain and Sylveon's VMAX is no exception to that. This vibrant card has two attacks that make it quite the powerful card to use in battle too.

Its first requires one psychic-type energy and allows the player to attach one energy card from their hand to a benched Pokémon, once this is done that Pokémon immediately has 120 damage healed. Its second attack is for dealing damage, and it requires three colorless energies and deals a base damage of 70. While 70 damage isn't bad, it deals even more damage adding 30 for each different type of Pokémon the player has on their bench.

Leafeon VMAX (Alternate Art Secret)

Leafeon is one of the best grass-type Pokémon, so it deserves this alternate art secret card featuring an adorable Leafeon playing with a hay bale on a farm. Leafeon's first attack is quite impressive and deals 60 damage times the amount of energy it costs for the defending Pokémon to retreat.

Its second attack happens to be even better and not only does it deal an incredible 170 damage, but it also heals 30 damage to Leafeon simultaneously. All around this is a Leafeon that both players and collectors of the TCG will want.

Rayquaza VMAX (Alternate Art Secret)

This is the second most expensive card from Evolving Skies, right behind Umbreon VMAX's alternate art secret (per TCGPlayer) and just looking at the card should make it obvious why. The artwork is absolutely incredible as Rayquaza, one of the best snake-like Pokémon, flies through the air in a mountainous forest area likely in Hoenn.

Rayquaza has an interesting ability that can be used once per turn that allows the player to discard their hand and draw three new cards, which can be helpful for players either low on cards or simply need to change their luck. It also has a single attack that deals 20 damage plus any amount of fire or electric-type energies that the player discards adds 80 damage for each one. This is a similar affect to Rayquaza V but far more impressive.

Umbreon VMAX (Alternate Art Secret)

This version of Umbreon VMAX is simply stunning and majestic. It is no doubt one of the best-designed cards Pokémon TCG has ever released, so it isn't surprising that this is the most expensive card from Evolving Skies.

While players would be reluctant to use this card for play, it has an ability called Dark Signal that allows the player to switch the opponent's active Pokémon with one of their benched Pokémon. This ability can only be used when Umbreon VMAX is used to evolve Umbreon V. Umbreon also has a single attack that deals 160 damage.
