Jacksepticeye has ended the year on a high once again with a massive Thankmas YouTube live stream featuring guests like Jack Black, Valkyrae, and Markiplier that has raised over $10 million for charity. Of course, that's hardly all Jack, real name Seán McLoughlin, has been up to in a year that's seen him continue to produce tons of great gaming content on YouTube.

His long playthrough of God of War: Ragnarök in November is just the latest edition to his massive catalog of great Let's Play series that includes countless fan favorites. As for which are the most beloved, Redditors took the time to share their highlights from his time on YouTube.

Jacksepticeye's Minecraft Series

Considering how many YouTubers found their success during Minecraft's initial explosion in popularity, it's hard to believe that Jack had never really given the game a fair chance until 2019. Inspired by the game's resurgence, he finally attempted a playthrough of Survival Mode in an episode titled Playing Minecraft For The Very FIRST Time to a ton of excitement from fans.

Redditor LilSwot comments that they "really liked his Minecraft series," noting that it was "hilarious to watch." Given that there are tons of experienced and skilled Minecraft players on YouTube, Jack's playthrough isn't the place to go for accomplished gameplay. Instead, it's his uniquely fresh experience of the game and his trademark humor that it draws out which makes his Minecraft series worth watching.

Jacksepticeye's Teardown Miniseries

Not all Let's Play series have to be super long to provide tons of entertainment and that's proved by how much fun Jacksepticeye managed to pack into just 5 episodes of playing Teardown. Beginning with the episode THIS GAME LETS YOU DESTROY EVERYTHING, Jack immediately began taking advantage of the freedom offered by the fully destructible game to create chaos.

Redditor Ben-Robbo-777 enjoyed watching the series as it came out in late 2021 and described it as "oh so good!" Jacksepticeye's videos are often at their funniest when he's going completely off the rails so it's his playthroughs of more free-form games like this that often get the best out of him.

Jacksepticeye's Kindergarten Playthrough

Tons of strange and often freaky indie games have exploded in popularity thanks in part to YouTubers like Jacksepticeye playing through them and Kindergarten is no exception. Marketed as a puzzle adventure game, Kindergarten's child-friendly setting disguises a strange and surprisingly gory video game.

Redditor Kamikazeguy7 was one fan who enjoyed Jack's over-the-top reactions to the game's odd details and comments "Man, no Kindergarten [...] love?" From the first episode, titled HOW CAN YOU TREAT KIDS LIKE THIS?, Jack showed why he was the perfect person to enjoy the game's weirdness with, even finding tons of humor in the more ordinary playground sections.

Jacksepticeye's One-Off Playthrough Of The Beginner's Guide

With Let's Plays that are spread out across multiple episodes being the norm on YouTube, it automatically makes exceptions to this more memorable. That likely played a part in why Jacksepticeye's playthrough of The Beginner's Guide, titled A POWERFUL EXPERIENCE, in 2015 remains Redditor Arch_Stanton1862's favorite after all these years.

As well as the fact it's contained within a single video, they consider it one of his best because the game is "very powerful and [it's a] video that makes you think." In fact, calling The Beginner's Guide a game might be a misrepresentation, as it's also a non-linear reflection on what it means to be human, and Jack, to his credit, takes its abstract nature in his stride.

Jacksepticeye's The Last Guardian Playthrough

Jacksepticeye may be a YouTuber known for his sense of humor, but he's also an avid gamer and that comes across most when playing games that he's genuinely into. That's likely a reason why so many including Redditor Rudrahp72 consider "the last Guardian playthrough of Jack's" to be one of his best.

With the first episode, titled I'VE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS!!!, coming out right as The Last Guardian was released in 2016, it was immediately obvious just how enthusiastic Jack was to sink his teeth into the title from the studio behind Shadow of the Colossus. Unsurprisingly, he quickly tore through the game in massive hour-long episodes.

Jacksepticeye's Original Subnautica Playthrough

Fans of the iconic ocean-based survival horror game have been spoiled over the years with Jacksepticeye playing through an early development build of Subnautica in 2015, followed by the full release in 2018, and then Subnautica: Below Zero more recently. Redditor BuffCrowTillHesOP comments that they "loved the original Subnautica series so much."

Jack approached the game with his trademark sense of humor but, as the first episode's title of DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY! makes clear, the game got plenty of genuine scares from the YouTuber. Although it might be hard to watch for viewers who've seen how far the game has come since then, the classic playthrough is still a nostalgic treat.

Jacksepticeye's Undertale Playthrough

Depending on whether they're playing blind and whether they're going for a pacifist or genocide run, Undertale playthroughs can look very different which is why fans were delighted that Jack did all 3 all the way back in 2015. Redditor DansGameDen is far from the only fan to rate the playthrough as their favorite, commenting that they "loved the voice acting."

Undertale didn't come to be known as one of the best indie RPGs for nothing and its characters are truly unforgettable. Having Jack voice them all and bring life into each one, often in inventive and hilarious ways, only heightened the experience for some. Starting with the episode SHOW SOME MERCY, Jack proved how he can do justice to unique games.

Jacksepticeye's Until Dawn Series

Playing through horror games can be a nightmarish experience, but that's exactly why it's so cathartic watching YouTubers like Jacksepticeye struggle through them. Redditor amberlyinviolet is one fan who enjoys Jack's horror playthroughs but singled out his Until Dawn Series as they even "got my parents into Until Dawn."

With a great story, spectacular moments, and some obligatory scares, Until Dawn is the kind of game that has a universal appeal and Jack brought the best out of it simply by responding to it in his own over-the-top way. With episode 1, THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, giving just a taste of what's to come, there are few better series to showcase the best of horror Let's Plays.

Jacksepticeye's Detroit: Become Human Playthrough

One of Jacksepticeye's most-watched Let's Plays from 2018 that fans still go back to plenty is his playthrough of Detroit: Become Human. With the first episode, titled THE START OF SOMETHING AWESOME, receiving 18 million views alone, it's fair to say the series has a lot of fans.

One of them is Redditor existential_chaos who comments that they "really loved" this series. It's clear that Jack loved the game as well, perhaps even making fewer jokes than usual in order to give the game and characters the care and attention they deserved, and it paid off.

Jacksepticeye's Let's Play of Night In The Woods

As an indie game with a delightful story, a unique world, and memorable characters, there are few titles more perfect for Jacksepticeye's Let's Play style than Night in the Woods. Redditor TaffyRhiii certainly thinks so, commenting that it's "by far my favorite game and play through that he’s done."

From the first episode, THINGS SURE HAVE CHANGED, Jack is obviously charmed by the game and his enjoyment of it is infectious for the viewer as well. On top of that, the playthrough contains some laugh-out-loud hilarious moments that couldn't have occurred with any other game.
