Spoilers for Andor's season finale!

Andor finished its first season in dramatic fashion, with all the key players returning to Ferrix for Marva's funeral. This small event in the greater Star Wars galaxy nevertheless reverberates far beyond the planet and the streaming series. The finale leaves fans with many burning questions about season two, and how it all impacts the larger saga.

Though the finale wraps up some storylines, it leaves most characters in a place that is uncertain going forward. It also leaves unanswered critical questions that loom over the entire series, such as what happened to Andor's sister, and just when Cassian Andor will meet his trusted friend, K2-SO.

10 What Happened To Andor's Sister?

Star Wars leaves many unanswered questions that would make for great future stories. What happened to Andor's sister Kerri remains the most pertinent from the first season. The finale completely avoids the subject, leaving unresolved the character's driving ambition from the opening scene in the series.

The thread involving Andor's sister completely vanishes throughout the season, suggesting the show may abandon it in season two. Maarva suggested the incident on Kenari left few if any survivors, putting Kerri's future in doubt.

9 What Actually Happened On Kenari?

Young Kassa lost his sister potentially forever due to a mysterious incident on his home planet Kenari. What actually happened there remains a mystery after the season finale. Maarva and Clem rescue Kassa, leaving presumably the rest of his tribe to die in what's characterized as a mining accident.

That seems unlikely, especially given the circumstances. Kassa discovers a crashed Republic ship, but the crew aboard wear the Separatist logo. The Separatists eventually emerged as the biggest villains in Star Wars during this era, begging more questions than the show answers.

8 Will Bix Recover?

Andor rescues Bix Caleen from Imperial captivity in the season finale, but it's clear the sustained torture she endured left severe trauma. Bix barely acknowledged Cassian was there when he found her in her cell, and she was weak and drawn, leaving real questions about her ability to recover.

The finale clearly sets up a reunion between Bix and Andor in season two, so her storyline going forward may center on her recovery, or if she even can after the terrible suffering the Empire inflicted on her.

7 What Is Luthen's Motivation?

Andor mostly does a fantastic job exploring its characters and their motivations, with one notable exception. Luthen Rael works in the shadows, fomenting and organizing the nascent Rebellion in the galaxy. The show chooses not to answer why he does this in the first season, making his background and future uncertain.

Several clues suggest Luthen's past, including a kyber crystal that means a great deal to him. Kyber crystals power the coolest Star Wars lightsabers, hinting he may have some connection to the Jedi, or even the Sith, given the artifacts in his gallery.

6 Is Mon Mothma's Husband Helping Her?

Mon Mothma and her husband Perrin Fartha share an antagonistic relationship throughout the series and that continues in the season finale. Or, it seems to. A fascinating scene in the finale suggests Perrin might be helping Mon, and their bickering may provide the cover that allows her to funnel money to the Rebellion.

In the finale, Mothma argues with Perrin about his gambling in their car after telling their driver to give them privacy. The driver does listen into their conversation and is an Imperial spy as she suspected earlier in the series. Mothma implies Perrin's gambling is behind their unusual financial dealings, which the driver relates to his superiors. This hints that she either threw Perrin under the bus or he is actively helping her.

5 What Becomes Of Ferrix?

Maarva's funeral in the finale transforms into a riot. Ferrix citizens rise up against their Imperial oppressors and the Empire responds in typical fashion. Though the riot ends in a bloody stalemate, the series sends the major players from Ferrix fleeing to space, leaving the planet's fate up in the air.

The Empire visits vicious reprisals on worlds that challenge them throughout the movies, books, and comics, suggesting a dark fate for Ferrix. Perhaps season two returns to the planet, or the franchise does in other shows.

4 Does Syril Karn Join The Empire?

Syril Karn mirrors Cassian Andor in numerous ways. While Cassian's journey in season one follows him from a loner to a rebel, Syril goes from private security to potential Imperial. His unusual and disturbing fixation on Dedra leads him to rescue her during the Ferrix riot in the finale, but his next steps aren't clear.

Sympathetic Imperials exist throughout Star Wars, but Syril likely wouldn't count among them. His desperate need for approval, control, and power leads him deeper into the Empire's clutches, setting him up to be a lost soul in season two.

3 Is Kino Loy Alive?

Kino Loy emerged in the season's second major arc, with Cassian trapped inside an Imperial prison. Andy Serkis delivered a remarkable performance as Loy transformed from a prisoner just trying to make it to his release to a rebel leader. The show left Loy and fans dangling literally though, and it's not clear if he's alive or dead.

When the prisoners reached the exits, they discovered the prison sits within a vast lake. Loy revealed he couldn't swim and the show never showed him after, making his fate a burning question for season two.

2 When Does Cassian Meet K2-SO?

Andor's relationship with the droid K2-SO forms the emotional backbone of Rogue One. With the streaming series serving as a prequel to the prequel, fans expected to meet K2-SO in season one. They did in a way when an Imperial security droid apprehended Andor, but K2-SO didn't make an appearance.

The moment when Cassian and K2-SO first meet falls to season two and questions still surround how this happens. Though their early relationship unfolds somewhat in books and comics, the series likely reveals more details.

1 Who Is Mon Mothma's Ally

In episode four, Mon Mothma tells Luthen she has an ally she wants to bring into their small circle. She never reveals who and the season ends without a definite answer. The show introduces her old friend Tay Kolma, who she turns to for help in moving her family fortune around without Imperial interference. While he could be the ally, other clues suggest he isn't.

Mothma never outright explains to Kolma what she's doing or why, and certainly who she's working with. This goes against her insistence to Luthen that her ally is someone they all can trust and she wants to bring into their confidential circle. The raid on Aldhani drives a further wedge between Luthen and Mothma, after which she goes to Kolma, possibly indicating he's a fallback plan.
