As Andor continues to air the final episodes of its first season, it is quickly becoming clear that the series is one of the most grounded, emotionally resonant, and creative series produced within the Star Wars franchise. Thus, it signals great things to come for the galaxy far, far away, particularly by giving fans an original story about Cassian Andor and the Rebel Alliance's genesis.

With twelve episodes to its first season, Andor has taken viewers on quite the journey throughout the galaxy, visiting many new and interesting locations. The series also adds several new planets to the franchise, sparking a yearning in fans to learn more about these compelling new locations.

Ferrix

Ferrix is a planet that makes its debut in Andor, introducing audiences to a host of new characters who live in its main cities. The planet is the main setting for the series' first three episodes and continues to be revisited while following Bix Caleen's storyline.

Located in the Free Trade Sector, Ferrix was of little notice to the Empire until Cassian Andor evaded arrest for the murder of two security guards on Morlana One, escaping into the unknown. Since then, the Empire has kept a cruel grasp over the planet, hoping to find some clue about Andor's whereabouts. However, this has caused some level of civil unrest among the planet's citizens, who are already wary of the Imperials.

Morlana One

Andor's first episode opens on Morlana One, where Cassian is investigating a lead regarding his sister's whereabouts. Things go awry, however, when he is confronted by two security guards - whom he kills - igniting a manhunt that would force him to go on the run.

Morlana One, located in the Morlani System of the Free Trade Sector, is a planet covered mostly in water. Like other nearby planets, Morlana One was overseen by the Preox-Morlana governing system until Andor's exploits, which drew increased Imperial attention to their corner of the galaxy and caused a chain of events that would go toward building the Rebel Alliance.

Kenari

Kenari is a frequent subject of Andor's flashbacks, being revealed as Cassian Andor's home planet. Cassian, then known as Kassa, lived on Kenari with his younger sister and a group of other destitute children until a mysterious series of events led to his adoption by the Andors and the other children's apparent demise.

The planet of Kenari, which is found in the Mid-Rim territories, was filled with foliage and wildlife until massive and intrusive mining operations ravaged its landscape. Several characters have also referred to a devastating mining disaster that left every Kenari inhabitant dead. Nevertheless, the planet is frequently brought up in conversation throughout Andor's first season, foreshadowing an upcoming return to Kenari at some point before the series comes to a close.

Aldhani

Aldhani features heavily in a series of episodes dedicated to Cassian Andor's first mission as a Rebel. He and a new group of Rebels mount an intricately planned heist on an Imperial outpost, stealing a large sum of money from the base's vault and drawing plenty of attention from the Imperial Security Bureau.

Aldhani is an unindustrialized planet covered in grasslands. Its people were mostly primitive, with the only known intelligent life consisting of a single tribe of Dhanis, who had been displaced by Imperial operations on the planet. Aldhani also experiences an unusual astrological event every three years, known as the Eye, which has become a religious ceremony for the local Dhanis.

Coruscant

One of the best parts of Andor's first season is that it is opening up new corners of Coruscant, mainly those associated with the Imperial Senate and its members. The audience spends a considerable time here with Chandrilan Senator Mon Mothma, who is desperately seeking to aid the rising rebellion without revealing herself to her suspicious colleagues.

Coruscant is a planet located in the Core Worlds covered entirely in cityscapes. The planet was once the seat of power for the Republic and the Jedi Order but has since been reorganized as the capital of the Galactic Empire. It remains the residence of Emperor Palpatine, who serves as the leader of the Empire and its Senate, which is increasingly becoming a puppet organization and a hollow vestige of a bygone era.

Niamos

After taking his cut of the money stolen from the Aldhani Imperial outpost, Cassian Andor changes his name and moves to Niamos, where he attempts to live a quiet life under the Empire's radar. Nevertheless, he finds that Niamos is crawling with Imperials, who accuse him of a minor crime and arrest him.

Niamos was once a safe haven for those seeking to escape the Empire, with its beautiful seaside and beaches resembling a luxurious resort. Nevertheless, the world, like many others in the galaxy, could not stay under the Imperial radar forever and was eventually occupied, leading to Cassian Andor's arrest.

Narkina 5

Narkina 5 is the location of an Imperial working prison, where Cassian Andor is sent after being arrested on Niamos. Here, the harsh reality of living under the Empire sets in, as he is forced to compete against other prisoners in building unspecified projects alongside his team. It also becomes clear that the prisoners will not be released, though they are told that they are working towards their freedom.

While still acting as a major location in the middle of Andor's first season, Narkina 5 is actually a moon rather than a planet, orbiting a nearby gas giant which has yet to be identified in-canon. The landscape is mostly comprised of water, making it difficult for any prisoner to attempt an escape, even if they were able to make it outside the prison complex.

Segra Milo

Segra Milo makes a brief appearance in Andor's "Narkina 5" as Luthen Rael makes a visit here to meet with one of his Rebel contacts, who is revealed to be Saw Gerrera. The two engage in a friendly but eventually heated conversation in which they exchange their differing ideals on rebellion. This lead to Gerrera to proclaim that all other Rebel movements have failed, whereas his still stands.

Segra Milo is seemingly the location of a Rebel base inhabited by Saw Gerrera and the other members of his group of Partisans. The planet looks mostly deserted, though little has been seen thereof to confirm such a notion. Given that Segra Milo is no longer Gerrera's base of operations five years later during the events of Rogue One, it can be assumed that the Partisans were forced to abandon their base there at some point, leading to the construction of their complex on Jedha.
