The Netflix Witcher series is seeing a major shakeup with the recent departure of Henry Cavill from the role of Geralt. It's made the future of the show a lot more uncertain. Thankfully, fans can always look to the games for more Witcher content. With a remake of the first game on the horizon, the games are sure to stay consistent in the future.

One other thing that's fairly consistent is the movement of the stars. The patterns of the zodiac are unchanging and ever present. They also happen to match up with some of the most famous elements from the Witcher games, the bosses which are always a spectacle to behold.

Aries - Eredin

Being the first sign of the zodiac, Aries sets the trend for all others. The sign also represents the beginning of a spirited affair or contest. This is fitting, as Eredin Bracc Glas was called the leader of the Wild Hunt.

Eredin was once a spirited general in the service of a king. He ended up killing his master and taking his position. This shows his go-getter attitude, but he's also rather egalitarian. His boss fight is often considered to be the average bench of quality to reach for excellence in Witcher IIIbosses, so he makes sense as an Aries.

Taurus - The Caretaker

These are all words that describe a caretaker. The Taurus sign belongs to this kind of responsible individual. There is also a famous boss from The Witcher III: Heart of Stone with that same moniker.

The backstory of the Caretaker is not elaborate, as it is simply a golem conjured up by a housemaster. It was a reliable housekeeper, however, and a learned soul. Before it fought against the Witcher, it learned from its experiences and was a powerful companion to the masters of the house.

Gemini - Zeugl

Viewers of the Netflix show will remember the Zeugl as one of The Witcher's scariest monsters. Before it made an appearance in the show, though, it appeared in the games. Most of the bosses in the original Witcher game were monsters, rather than people. That didn't mean this sewer creature had no personality, though.

The personality matches up pretty well with the Gemini. The Zeugl evolved parallel with humans and naturalists guide humans to respect them. Human cities proved to be the perfect breeding ground for the species, and the humans developed new technologies from observing the Zeugl.

Cancer - Caranthir

Caranthir Ar-Feinlel was once known as the Golden Child. He was a smart navigator and served as second-in-command to Eredin. He also stars in a tough boss battle, fighting both Geralt and Ciri consecutively. This shows his tenaciousness, which is fitting for Cancer.

Cancers never surrender, and Caranthir certainly fits that. His fight is one of the longest in The Witcher III. They're all business, much like Caranthir, who mostly professional despite his profession. He and other Cancers are soft but powerful.

Leo - Azar Javed

Azar Javed is the final boss of the first Witcher, which is set to be remade. He is the leader behind all the problems the player has encountered. He is a powerful and charismatic alchemical sorcerer with many underworld connections. He is the lion at the head of the pack, so to speak.

Also, the head of the pack is Leo. Leos are creative, passionate and take leadership roles. Azar Javed, as the leader of underworld forces and a mage, fits these requirements. He also fits in a meta sense, being the finale of the first game.

Virgo - The Witch

In a game like The Witcher 3, there are certainly some expected fantasy elements. One would not expect to see the witch from Hansel and Gretel appear, though. In the Land of a Thousand Fables from the Blood and Wine DLC, she does show up. She proves to be a tough fight and a Virgo.

She's a hard worker who has mastered her craft over her long life. This diligence is typical of Virgos, as is her love of food, clearly from her source material. One of the weaknesses of the sign is that they're too work-focused, which also applies given she never stops repeating beats from her story.

Libra - The Operator

There isn't much backstory given for The Operator from The Witcher 2. He is considered to be one of the best fights from that game, though, and went on to appear in the series' MOBA spin-off. He's a loyal mage member of the Vran and will not initially even fight the player. This is fitting, as Libra does wish to avoid conflict.

The Operator will only engage if Geralt admits to not being the chosen one. Otherwise, the Operator will attempt to be diplomatic and avoid conflict. He also relies heavily on Libra's virtue of partnership, as he fights by summoning Gargoyles for assist attacks.

Scorpio - The Beast

The Beast is one of the first creatures seen the in original The Witcher game. Also known as a hellhound, this beast is supposed to ease the player into Geralt's life as a monster hunter. This is one monster that didn't appear in Netflix's Witcher, but it's easily the first game's most iconic. It's also got all the traits of a fierce Scorpio.

From its name, it's clear that the creature commands respect. Like a Scorpio should be, its resourceful and powerful. It's quick to attack if encountered in the wild, but that's just Scorpio's distrusting nature. While it does scare peasants, it's a hard-working hunter that has more than earned its keep and Geralt's respect.

Sagittarius - Letho

They are big travelers and philosophers, often having a lot to say. They really love their freedom and hate being constrained. While these all sound like good traits, in excess they could cause one to become something like a "kingslayer".

For the record, he has nothing but respect for Geralt and is nothing but kind to him during The Witcher II. They both even have the same profession, and he's empathetic as a Sagittarius should be. He does go too far with his beliefs, though, leading to a tough-as-nails boss fight at the game's end.

Capricorn - Dettlaff

Being a vampire, Dettlaff van der Eretein exemplifies a lot of their most famous traits. For being the serial killing Beast of Beauclair, though, he has a lot of positive traits as well. This is perhaps due to his nature as a Capricorn.

He weaves a myriad of plans over the Blood and Wine DLC and proves to be quite intelligent. He also has high values on family and traditional. This could be because he's a higher vampire, but it could also be because of his Capricorn nature.

Aquarius - Toad Prince

The Toad Prince is all about exceeding expectations. He appears to be just another horrifying monster, but was actually once human. He seems to be a slow-witted frog, but he's actually one of the toughest bosses in The Witcher series. It's fitting then that he has the Aquarius sign.

This sign is different from all other signs on the zodiac, needing additional work to uncover its secrets. Already this fits the nature of the Prince having more than meets the eye. It also fits because Prince got turned after getting involved in risky business, which is a classic downfall of the Aquarius.

Pisces - Saesenthessis

This boss is also known as Saskia, although the player won't know it when they fight her. Instead, they will see a mighty dragon in late chapter 3 of The Witcher 2. Her patterns are difficult, and the player needs plenty of healing ready to beat her. Her role in the next part of the game after revealing human form can see her become a victim or a martyr.

This is fitting, as it's a common trait of the Pisces. As the child of many great dragons, Saskia has the options to create a new beginning for dragonfolk. While she and Geralt originally were enemies, interaction leads them to becoming allies. This showcases the new beginnings and compassion of Pisces.
